Abstract

Maps document Charles Russell Orcutt's collecting in Jamaica, 1927-1929 for the United States National Museum (USNM). Most of the maps are hand drawn by Orcutt, and include marked collecting sites, geographical landmarks, hills, rivers, plantations, estates, land owner, and quarries. Locations on Jamaica include the vicinity of Saint Elizabeth, Yallas [Yallahs] River, Balaclava, Kingston, and Mandeville. There is also a blue print map of Haiti, with multiple locations marked.
