Abstract

This volume is a catalog of bird specimens collected on Southern Island Cruise (SIC) 14 on the Pacific Ocean from 12 July to 8 August 1966 for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program. Field numbers span from 6520 to 6691; records for field numbers 6649 through 6675 are empty. Locations include Baker Island, Howland Island, Swain's Island [Swains Island], Jarvis Island, and McKean and Gardner Islands [of the Phoenix Group]. Fields include field number, genus and species, date, island, sex, weight & fat cond., reproduction, remarks, dispo. spec, and recorder. Species include Sterna fuscata [Onychoprion fuscatus], Pluvialis dominica, Heteroscelus incanum [Heteroscelus incanus], and others. Remarks include molt and whether color notes were taken. Collectors include L. N. Huber, Hoff, D. Pearson, W. Bulmer, and others.
