Entries are organized by specimen numbers 1375 - 1403. Some specimen entries include notes about trips. 1375 and 1381 cover a trip to Florida during 1905 listing travel details, observations of habitat, flora and fauna, and collecting. Entries are two to four lines long. Other entries are extensive, starting with name, vegetation, locality and date with descriptions of behavior and appearance including color and measurements relating to phases of development. There are sketches of specimen anatomy. Inside the notebook cover lists "1375 – [1379-80 in other book] labeled “Mosquitoes p. 1, 3-13”. Includes inserted notes. Parts were copied out during 1909. Locations are in Washington DC [District of Columbia]; Massachusetts (Dorchester, Melrose Highlands); Maine (Lincolnville); Virginia (Glencarlyn in Arlington). The pages 48 - 200 of the notebook is blank.
