Abstract

This volume is a catalog of bird and rodent specimens collected on Sand Island of Johnston Atoll from 1 January to 30 December 1966 for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program. Fields include species, field no., date, measurements, weight, collector + cat. no., location, age, sex, and remarks. Field numbers span from 25938 to 26202. Bird species include Sterna fuscata [Onychoprion fuscatus] and others. In addition to records of birds specimens, there are many records for Mus musculus. Remarks for bird species include how bird was collected and USFWS band number. Remarks for M. musculus records includes notes on size of testes and notes that eyes were collected. Collectors include R. Maze, K. Amerman, and others.
