This volume is a catalog of bird and rodent specimens collected on Johnston Atoll between July 1964 and December 1965 for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program. Fields include species, field #, date, measurements, collector, location, age, sex, and remarks. Field numbers span from 25002 to 25937; some are not in consecutive order. 25001 to 25008 are also listed in the catalog, but the records are empty except for 25002 and 25006, which provide species name only. Collections were made on Sand Island and Johnston Island of Johnston Atoll. Bird species include Sterna fuscata [Onychoprion fuscatus], Fregata minor, Anous stolidus, and others. In addition to records of birds specimens, there are many records for Mus musculus. Collectors include C. B. Kepler, R. D. Kirkpatrick, Lewis, Heryford, Woodward, and others. Two loose sheets in the folder are lists of bird species. One list appears to be a table of numbers of skeleton and skin specimens of each species. The other list also has two columns of numbers for each species, but it is not clear what the numbers represent.
