PrintThis volume is a catalog of bird specimens collected on a Marshall and Gilbert Islands trip in October and November 1964 for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program. Collections were made on islands of the Marshall Islands and Gilbert Islands [Gilbert Group] and along a transect on the Pacific Ocean from 3° 50' N, 178° 09' W to 16° 59' N, 164° 07' W. Fields include museum number, field number, species, sex, locality, date, wt., age, gonads, type of specimen, personal catalog number, and remarks. Field numbers range from 30001 to 30442, 10530, and 10624 to 10626. Species include Anous spp., Arenaria interpres, Heteroscelus spp., and others. The remarks field includes notes on molt, fat, brood patches, etc. Collections were made by LNH, RBC, and others.
