Abstract

This volume is a catalog of bird specimens collected by A. B. Amerson, Jr., and L. N. Huber on French Frigate Shoals, Hawaii from August 4-31, 1965 for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program. The title page of the catalog is dated August 4 - September 2, 1965 but the catalog includes no records from September. Fields include field number, species, location, date, sex, age, wt., collector, skinner, disposition of specimens, and remarks. Field numbers span from 15001 to 15026. Species include Puffinus pacificus, Sterna fuscata [Onychoprion fuscatus], and others. Collections were made on Tern, Whale, and East Islands of French Frigate Shoals. Remarks include notes on brood patch, fat, soft part color, and collection method. Catalog numbers span from 800 to 816 for Huber and from 1 to 8 for Amerson.
