Abstract

The notebook documents Harrison G. Dyar's observations of collected insects and related rearing data for 1894 - 1895. Entries are organized by specimen number and often headed with name, collector (if other than Dyar), date, sometimes locality, followed by descriptions with related stage of development and dates. Descriptions include appearance, colors, measurements, and sex. Specimens were sent from California, Washington, and New Mexico. Includes sketches of specimens and loose inserts. There are notes from 1897.
