Abstract

The notebook documents Harrison G. Dyar's observations of collected insects and related rearing data for 1894. Entries are organized by specimen number and descriptions usually start with name, vegetation, locality, date and collector if other than Dyar. These are followed by descriptions, related to phase of development and relating dates. Details include appearance, colors, measurements. There are notes from 1902. There are sketches relating to specimen anatomy and loose inserts with notes. Sometimes includes references to catalog number. Locations include New York (Keene Valley), Maine (Dixfield, Webb Pond).
