Abstract

The notebook documents Harrison G. Dyar's observations of collected insects and related rearing data for 1894. Entries are organized by specimen number and descriptions often begin with name, vegetation, locality, and date, followed with description. Descriptions cover appearance, colors, measurements, and frequently includes sketches of the specimen anatomy. There are loose inserts with notes relating to specimens. There are notes extending to 1897. Some specimens were sent from England. Locations include New York (Keene Valley, Westport).
