Abstract

The notebook documents Harrison G. Dyar's observations of collected insects and rearing data for 1893 - 1894. Entries are headed with specimen number, and entries start with name, locality, date, and sometimes vegetation. These are followed by description relating to appearance, measurements relating to phase of development and corresponding dates. Sometimes relates to specimen preparation or catalog number. Includes pasted and loose inserted notes and sketches. Sometimes specimens were collected by other collectors than Dyar. Collecting locations include New York (Plattsburgh, Keene Valley), Montana (Miles City).
