Abstract

This volume is a catalog of bird specimens collected on islands of California in the Pacific Ocean in May 1968 for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program. Fields include field #, species, date, position, weight, fat, sex, reproduction, other data, personal catalogue #, and disposition. Field numbers span from 140370 to 140453. Species include Ptychoramphus aleuticus, Oceanodroma spp., Cepphus columba, and others. Most localities are on or offshore of San Miguel Island in California; a few are on or offshore of other Pacific Ocean islands of California. Other notes field includes notes on color, molt, brood patch, etc. Personal catalog # field indicates that specimens were collected by TJL, RSC, and LNH. Loose sheets in the folder have additional notes on molt, fat condition, and reproduction for specimens listed in this catalog as well as other specimens. Loose sheets also include logistical notes regarding checks, requisitions, computer printouts, etc.
