Abstract

The notebook documents Harrison G. Dyar's observations and collecting of lepidoptera in Yosemite and Santa Barbara, California, 1891 -1892. The notebook is entitled "Notes on Bombycid Larvae." Entries are organized by specimen number and list type, date, location, vegetation. Entries describe appearance and phases of life cycle, including appearance, colors, changes in appearance per phase (sometimes with date). There are notes through 1899.
