Abstract

This folder contains data products of BT output processed by the Bathythermograph Section of Scripps Institution of Oceanography for two Pacific Ocean cruises. Cruise 14994 (identifier used on documents in folder) on the Rexburg occurred December 15-21, 1967, in an area bounded approximately by 30° to 35° N and 120° to 126° W. Cruise 14995 on the Marysville occurred January 4-11, 1968, in an area bounded approximately by 30° to 35° N and 121° to 126° W. The folder contains a set of BT cards for each cruise; each card has a line showing the bathythermograph readings at that location. A computer printout provides BT temperature values at each location. Also included is a document, "Explanation sheet NODC BT machine printout," and a transparent overlay template that assist in the reading and interpretation of the computer printout. Two pieces of correspondence in the folder contain information about the collection, corrections, and interpretation of the BT data from these cruises.
