Abstract

Envelopes 86 - 103 include images (negatives and photographs) taken by Edward A. Chapin while he completed field work in Jamaica, 1941. Envelope labels note subject matter and location. Subject matter includes images of individuals (identified by name), river coastlines, residences, insectary and structures at Hope Gardens, bays, local staff, detail images of vegetation (mango, akee). Locations include Kensworth, Hope Gardens, Blue mountains (Cinchona), and vicinity of Kingston.
