Abstract

Five envelopes of 8 negatives document the field work completed by Edward A. Chapin in the Virginia and District of Columbia, 1936, 1941, and undated. Subject matter includes detail images of insects on vegetation (Falls Church, Virginia), image of the Smithsonian "Castle", National Gallery of Art, Fessendens and Chapins at Skyline Drive, and Abies balsamea var phanerolepis (type of fir tree).
