Abstract

This folder contains maps, graphs, and tables compiling hydrographic data from Smithsonian Cruise 90, collected in July 1964. Data were collected on the Pacific Ocean to the north, south, and west of Johnston Atoll, within the area approximately bounded by 10° to 22° N and 168° to 174° W. Individual hand-drawn maps plot BT stations, surface salinity (‰), corrected surface temp. (°C), 20° isotherm depth (meters), depth of the mixed layer, bucket temp. (°C) and bucket salinity (‰). Also plotted on these maps are data from Gilbert Cruise #74, collected on the Pacific Ocean around and to the northwest of Hawaii from July 15 to July 31, 1964. Graphs in the folder plot various data from Cruise 90 (surface temperature (°C), surface salinity (‰), depth (meters), and depth of the mixed layer (meters)) by longitude at two different latitudes. One table in the folder is a compilation of hydrographic data for Cruise 90; the other is a compilation of BT, bkt, and corrected surface temp.
