Abstract

The field book documents William Dall's geological observations of California during 1892. Entries are given a date range and location, and proceed with descriptions that go on for several pages. Through out entries he visits sites where Eugene W. Hilgard had collected specimens in the past and describes the difference in appearance of the locations. Includes work in locations: Salinas Valley, City Park in San Diego, La Jolla, Point Loma, and Dead Man's Island (Los Angeles).
