This folder contains two documents listing plant species documented on islands of the Marshall Islands and Gilbert Islands [Gilbert Group] in 1964. "Plants collected from the northern Gilbert Islands and eastern Marshall Islands by Mr. Kenneth Amerman" by Bob Long provides a list of plants that Amerman collected on Bikar Island on October 13, 1964 (numbers 2870-2879) and Enybor Island on November 10, 1964 (numbers 2880-2902). "Collector's numbers are those of C. R. Long in consecutive series. The specimens will be deposited in the U. S. National Herbarium with duplicates, where available, in the Herbarium of the University of Hawaii." The other document, a photocopy, lists plants collected on other islands of the Marshall and Gilbert Islands in October and November 1964. This document may be a continuation of the first document, as collector's numbers (2903 through 2989) continue the sequence from the first document.
