Abstract

This folder contains a report and a list documenting the plant species of Gardner Island [Nikumaroro]. The report, "Notes on the flora of Gardner Island" by C. R. Long (undated), lists species documented on Gardner in October and provides a characterization of the island's vegetation. Specimens listed in the species accounts have numbers in the range of 2452 to 2525 in Long's collecting sequence. Also in the folder is a photocopy of "Vascular plants recorded from Gardner Island" by C. R. Long, which lists plant species documented on Gardner and provides Long's collection numbers for each. Long's collections are deposited at the University of Hawaii.
