Abstract

The field notes document the collecting and rearing notes by August Busck, 1898 - 1900. Information is entered from front and back of notebook. Entries from the front include specimen numbers (AB118 - AB136) are dated and headed with specimen number, locality, and vegetation. Includes notes on Dyar specimens 779 - 861. From the back includes notes on rearing specimen numbers 8800 - 8847, dates are not sequential. Notes corresponding to 4-digit numbers describe observed life cycle of specimen (rearing) and characteristics as well as notes on its rarity / abundance. In the back is a list of specimens with both specimen numbers (AB numbers are non sequential), name, and vegetation.
