This folder contains a portion of the data sheets reporting the results from the Smithsonian Oceanographic Sorting Center (SOSC) of stomach content analysis for Pacific Ornithological Oceanographic Project (POOP) 3, SOSC acc. no. 70. Each data sheet (of 15 total) records the stomach contents of an individual bird. Birds were caught June 3 through July 25, 1964. Dates on which data sheets were completed were not recorded. Bird species include Puffinus nativitatus, Sterna fuscata [Onychoprion fuscatus], Fregata ariel, Sula spp., Pterodroma spp., Gygis alba, Anous stolida, and others. Fields include species, station no., SOSC acc no., lat. & long., date, time caught, direction flying, squid, ceph. beaks, fish, fish remains, crustacea, other animals, parasitic animals, notes on squid, notes on fish, and general notes. Also included is a 3-page handwritten table titled "Bird Stomachs from June-July 1964, ATF Line and Phoenix Islands," which lists each data sheet by field number (= station number), with bird species, sex, collector's number, location, and date of capture for each. A three-page typescript table with the same title appears to contain the same information. The tables list several more field numbers than are represented by the data sheets in the folder.
