The field catalog documents the specimen collecting of H. L. Norman for the Smithsonian Institution African Mammal Project, November 11, 1970 - May 9, 1972. Includes several sections. First section covers mammal specimens, pages 1 - 27. Entries are dated and headed with locality (combination of country, region, town, sometimes farm name, latitude and longitude, and / or distance from). Information listed includes specimen number, sex, name, USNM catalog number, 4 measurements and sometimes weight. Second section covers botanical specimens B100 - B261, pages 1- 8.
