Abstract

This item consists of a field journal detailing Alexander Wetmore's field work on birds during 1957. Dated entries consist of accounts of hunting and collecting specimens, as well as behavioral observations, travel details, and daily activity. Localities include but are not limited to Panama, Illinois, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and South Africa. Field notes from Africa follow the journal entries, and are generally organized by species. Entries may include date, species name, sex, activities, and specific location observed. Other official or related documents are also present such as programs, tickets, and permits.
