Abstract

This item consists of a field journal detailing Alexander Wetmore's field work on birds, from 1950-1952. Dated entries consist of accounts of hunting and collecting specimens, as well as behavioral observations, travel details, and daily activity. Information on mammals is also included, and some entries contain bird lists with tallies. Localities include but are not limited to Panama, Sweden, Michigan, and Venezuela. Newspaper clippings and maps, as well as numerous other official or related documents are also present such as passports, tickets, and permits.
