Abstract

This item consists of a field journal detailing Alexander Wetmore's field work on birds in Panama from 1946-1949. Dated entries consist of accounts of hunting and collecting specimens, as well as behavioral observations, travel details, and daily activity. Specific localities include but are not limited to Darién, Coclé, and Herrera. Newspaper clippings, maps, and black-and-white photographs, as well as numerous other official or related documents are also present such as passports, tickets, and permits. There are also supply lists and address lists. Some documents are in Spanish.
