Abstract

This item consists of a field journal detailing Alexander Wetmore's field work on birds, from 1939-1944 with gaps in time. Dated entries consist of accounts of hunting and collecting specimens, as well as behavioral observations, travel details, and daily activity. Localities include but are not limited to Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, and the Perlas Islands (Pearl Islands), Panama. Newspaper clippings and numerous other official or related documents are also present such as passports, tickets, and permits. Some documents are in Spanish.
