Abstract

This item consists of a field journal and field notes from Alexander Wetmore's study of birds in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia, from 1935-1959. Dated entries consist of accounts of hunting, trapping, and collecting specimens, as well as behavioral observations and daily activity. Field notes follow the journal entries, and are generally organized by species. All entries may include date, elevation, temperature and weather, species name, sex, activities, and specific location observed.
