Abstract

This item consists of a field journal detailing Alexander Wetmore's field work on birds, with some attention to plants and fish, from 1922-1923. Dated entries consist of accounts of hunting and collecting specimens, as well as behavioral observations, travel details, and daily activity. Localities include but are not limited to North Dakota, Hawaii, and the Midway and Wake Islands. Included are sketches, maps, and a temporary skin catalog with species name, date, locality, description, and specimen numbers 7751-7887. Additional specimen charts and lists are also present and organized by locality.
