Abstract

This item is a field journal by Alexander Wetmore with daily entries from May to October, 1915 and 1916. Entries consist of accounts of hunting and collecting specimens, as well as behavioral observations, travel details, and daily activity. Localities include but are not limited to areas within the United States, including Utah and Montana. Entries mainly deal with birds and plants, and may include lists with daily tallies. Some entries deal with the investigation of a duck malady in Utah, with tallies of dead birds often present. Some newspaper clippings, sketches, and black-and-white photographs are also included.
