Abstract

This item is a field journal by Alexander Wetmore with daily entries from July 8th to November 21st, 1914. Entries consist of accounts of hunting and collecting specimens, as well as behavioral observations, travel details, and daily activity. Localities include but are not limited to areas within the United States, including Utah and California. Entries mainly deal with birds, and often include lists with daily tallies. Some entries in October deal mainly with the investigation of a duck malady in Utah, with tallies of dead birds often present. Some newspaper clippings are also included.
