Abstract

The notebook documents ectoparasites collected by R. E. Vaden from mammal specimens as part of the Smithsonian Institution African Mammal Project, 1968 - 1969. The notebook lists catalog number (100 - 4430), and records the presence of fleas, mites, ticks, lice; genus of host (sometimes sex); and remarks. Remarks include notes when no parasites are found, number (i.e. 1 or 2). Locations are not indicated.
