Abstract

This item is a field journal by Alexander Wetmore with daily entries from July 20th to September 1st, 1911. Entries consist of accounts of hunting, trapping, and collecting specimens, as well as behavioral observations, travel details, and daily activity. Entries are from Alaska and the Aleutian Islands, and deal mainly with birds and mammals. Also included are specimen lists, generally organized by date. Some lists are numbered and may include specific localities and short notes regarding specimens. There is also a July 29th sketch of three Aleutian mountains.
