Abstract

The journal documents T. J. McIntye's field work as part of the Smithsonian Institution African Mammal Project, June 22 - August 13, 1968. Also noted to include collecting by Wallace P. Murdoch, Jr. Entries are preceded by camp list for Damango and Adamso, Ghana with list of type (genus) and quantity. Entries are dated and sometimes headed with locality (combination of country, region, latitude and longitude). Content describes travel details (routes, campsites) interactions with local inhabitants, collecting methods (type, quantity), specimens collected (type, quantity), daily work, terrain and vegetation observed, habitat, and weather.
