Abstract

This notebook contains field data and a record of photographs Bayer took during a field trip to the Ifaluk [Ifalik] Atoll in 1953. The nine pages of field notes include lists of specimens collected or observed. The lists seem to correspond with sections of beach or ocean in roughly sketched diagrams. Diadems, crustaceans, gastropods, sponges, and other invertebrates are listed. Specimens were noted on the beach, in the Heliopora Zone, Western Reef, and other areas. The list of photographs is at the back of the book.
