Abstract

Journal detailing Bayer's trawling activities off the coast of Nigeria and Ivory Coast from 19 May to 6 June 1964 and 7 to 13 May 1965. Journal is from page 1-36; page 101 to 103 contains a film roll of photos taken. A half page of notes is inserted in the back. Bayer's journal includes details of various hauls including station numbers hauls were taken at, weight of the haul, depth of the trawl, times the nets were dropped and pulled up, what was caught, and other details. Fishes, algae, and various types of marine invertebrates were collected during this trip. Bayer collected in the Gulf of Guinea (including the Ivory Coast shore line, Grand Lahou, and off Lagos, Nigeria.
