Abstract

This field book contains notes from Kleiman's trip to Brazil from 15-27 March 1990. These notes document observations and playback studies with several groups of golden lion tamarins, including the Riverbanks group. The abbreviation "BH" is often used to refer to a location and may refer to the city Belo Horizonte. Kleiman also notes the presence of British film crews. Notes will occasionally mention other kinds of mammals, for example, a sphiggurus (type of porcupine). On the front of the notebook, Kleiman wrote the following summary of the content. "Field notes / visi CPRJ. Visit BH (possibly Belo Horizonte) after Collor Plan in effect. Periodic notes re: Collor Plan problems. Trip encounters between Groupo de Carlo, Pagao, Banana Ouro. Visit CPRJ -- meet Anthony R, Jeff French, Elain R, British film crew."
