Abstract

Notes from 1909 on birds Palmer and his colleague Owen Bryant collected in Java (Indonesia). Birds are listed by scientific name, although many of these entries don't have any associated information. For some of these entries sex, number, notes on bird song, local name, physical description, and other notes are included. A list of plates, probably from earlier publications, is included. Localities include Batvia [currently Jakarta] (see page 41) and possibly other localities. 1421, 2130 and possibly other collector numbers are listed. Sketch of specimen 1421 is included.
