Abstract

The field book documents Fielding Meek's work in Ohio during 1868. Includes list of expenses August 8 - 30 1871, list of species found in a coal mine, descriptions of studied specimens, a hand drawn map of Sulphur Springs, West Virginia followed by a detailed description of observations and work done at the site, description of Hamilton Shale, and Oriskany Sandstone. a list of specimens from collections in Columbus, Ohio September 1870; cross section of Rusleville [Russellville]. Map and notes on Allegheny tunnel.
