This field book consists of the field notes of M. E. Hale from a collecting trip to Antarctica in 1981. The field notes include a list of lichens collected; and notes on collecting activities, comprehensiveness of collecting, and collection localities. Also included is a hand-drawn map of "East Ledge" and "North Ledge" collecting sites. Entries include collector number, locality, habitat, date, directional exposure, and scientific name. Collector numbers 1 through 149 are included. Localities include: Linneaus Terrace, Northern Victoria Land, and University Valley.
