Abstract

The field catalog documents the mammals collected by A. H. Trowbridge in the United States, April 17, 1938 - July 16, 1942. A portion of the volume is blank. Entries cover some USNM catalog number, specimen number (130 - 654), sex, name (scientific), locality (town, geological landmarks, distance from landmarks, state), date, measurements (total length, tail vertebrae, and hind foot), and remarks. Remarks include a combination of details such as specimen preparation, additional location information (name of landmarks, pasture #, and distances from), habitat, terrain and vegetation, locations where specimens sent, additional measurements (sometimes in relation to other specimen numbers). Some remarks about habitat are extensive. Locations include Arizona, District of Columbia, Kansas, Maryland, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming.
