Abstract

This field book documents specimens collected by Dr. Edgar A. Mearns during the Mexican Boundary Survey. Entries include collection numbers, initial identifications, dates collected, and geographic location data. Geographic coverage begins in El Paso, Texas and continues through New Mexico and Arizona. Geographic data ranges from general (e.g., Cloverdale, New Mexico) to specific (e.g., San Jose Mountains, Sonora, Mexico, altitude 8600, summit). Also included are three loose-leaf inserts with handwritten notes and one insert with typed notes, the provenance of which is not documented.
