Abstract

The field catalog documents the mammals collected by James Lee Peters in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Carolina, April 20, 1914 - June 27, 1916. A portion of the notebook is blank. Entries cover USNM catalog number (non consecutive), specimen number (1 - 367), sex, name (scientific), locality (state, landmarks including structures and geological, town), date, measurements (3 types), and remarks. Remarks are a combination of details including additional location information (distance from landmarks, county), specimen preparation, whether type, altitude, and notes on specimen notes.
