Abstract

This folder contains numerous sets of field notes created by Moore roughly between the years of 1855 and 1879 in various localities including Florida, Louisiana, and the Bahamas. The following notes are included: Braden Creek, June 1877 to May 1879; Sarasota Bay and Manatee River March 1872 to June 1876; Key West, Jamaica Bay, and Nassau, summer 1876; Louisiana 1855, 1866; Manatee River, FL, October 1870; Key West 1877. Other miscellaneous notes from various years and localities are also included (some notes on plants included as well). Notes are mostly daily observations of birds observed. Information such as quantities of birds sighted, sex of bird, notes on bird song, nest, migration, notes on weather, and other details are included.
