Abstract

This field book consists of the journal kept by T. A. Williams during a trip west through the United States (including through Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Montana) in 1898. The notes describe Williams' observations of the landscape and crop conditions, especially clover, Red-top, and Timothy. Localities include the Southern Big Horn Range (MT?), Crow Reservation (MT). Towards the back of the book is a list of "plates, 4x5, Williams and Griffith, 1898" that includes plate number and subject. Also included are lists of photographs and films. Photograph list includes number, subject, f stop, and date. List of films includes number and subject.
