Brazil field notes, February 1986
Close
PrintThis field book contains notes from Kleiman's trip to Brazil from February 14 to March 6, 1986. Kleiman provides a narrative account of her observations of golden lion tamarins (glt) she tracks and processes in Poço das Antas and perhaps other reserve sites. Noted are the activities and behavior of the glts, particularly the aggression of glt Rita. A rough itinerary is included in the beginning of the notebook. Kleiman also documents her many meetings and discussions with colleagues, representatives from the IBDF (Instituto Brasileiro de Desenvolvimento Florestal), issues regarding the Una Biological Reserve and shipping golden-headed lion tamarins (ghlt), and Mr. Berant giving away all of his tamarins.
