This item consists of both bound and unbound field notes of E. J. Valeur from Dominican Republic, 1927-1923, in three sections. The first section consists of the loose notes and plant list of Valeur, labeled "E. J. Valeur from Letter of I - 28 - 32, set IV". Collector numbers 753 through 832 are included. Entries list collector number, determination, locality, altitude, and date. Localities include: Jicome, Moncion. Entries are dated 1931. The second section of field notes consists of a list of plants with the heading "E. J. Valeur, pk no 16766". The list includes collector number, determination, locality, date. Collector numbers 1 through 752 are included in this section. Entries are dated 1929-1930. Includes color-coded annotations. The third section of field notes consists of a list of plants collected in Dominican Republic, 1933. Collector numbers 833 through 1055 are included. Entries in this section consists of collector number, scientific name / determination, locality, and date. Some entries include notes on the color of flowers, soil type, and other observations. Localities include: Distr. San Jose de las Matas, Prov. Santiago.
