Abstract

The field catalog documents the bird skin collection of Jonathan Dwight, 1879 - 1880. Pages are numbered. In the front of the book is a list of information types in entries: type of bird, colors per part of anatomy including iris, measurements per part, appearance, age, sex, stomach contents, locality including notes on habitat, dates, and remarks. Includes specimens 1 - 343 and multiple collectors. Locations include New Jersey, Massachusetts, New York, Maine, New Hampshire; New Brunswick, Canada. In the back of the notebook is a list years and months, counts and totals as well as a list of skins.
