Abstract

This field book consists of a list of plants collected by Lucien Marcus Underwood with O. F. Cook and R. F. Griggs in Puerto Rico, 1901. Entries list collector number, scientific name, locality, date, and altitude. Collector numbers 1 through 1000 are included. Localities include: Utuado, Lares, Mayaguez, Jugua, Rio Piedras, and others. Some entries include longer descriptions noting habitat, abundance / rarity, and physical characteristics of specimen. Page 1 includes description of annotations. Towards the back of the book is a list of "O. F. Cook's Puerto Rican plants" listing collector numbers 8 to 995 and scientific names. Also included is a list of "un numbered plants which went to NY".
