Abstract

This field book includes the field notes of J. W. Toumey from botanical collections made in Arizona in 1892. The first few pages of the book include an introduction to a report for the University of Arizona on the collections that Toumey made in that state. The introduction includes the area of Arizona covered, and general notes on the collections. This introduction is followed by longer, more detailed notes on the flora of Arizona, by region. Notes on specimens collected include collector numbers 1 through 809. Entries list: collector number, scientific name, locality, date, physical description (including size, color, etc.), and notes on abundance / rarity. Regions include: Tucson, Bradshaw Mountains, Prescott, Grand Canyon, Tonto Basin.
